St. Paul - Albert (Bert) T. Bernards died at the age of 95 on June 29, 2017. Albert was born January 16, 1922 in St. Paul Oregon to Frank and Charlette (VanLoo) Bernards. He lived his entire life in St. Paul, OR.

Graduating from St. Paul High school, then attended Mount Angel College. For four years, Bert was active in the Military on the USS Concord. Albert then married the love of his life, Margaret Traeger.

Bert owned and operated St. Paul Feed & Supply for many years. He was a member of St. Paul Rodeo Association and was inducted into the St. Paul Hall of Fame. Bert was Fire Chief for St. Paul Fire Department for approx. 50 years.

Bert is survived by his sisters Dorothy Kuyendall of Portland and Frances Grassman of St. Paul, numerous nieces and nephews and colleagues he enjoyed having a sip of whiskey with. He treated others he met like family and we will enjoy the memories we've made with him. Funeral Mass Fri. July 7, 2017 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul Catholic Church. Graveside to follow at St. Paul Catholic Cemetery.
