Obituary
Casper Simon Ott died peacefully in his home at the family farm on New Year's Eve surrounded by his family. Casper was born on July 18, 1927 in Meiringen, Switzerland to Margarehta Naegeli and Johannes Otth.
Casper immigrated to the United States in 1949 living first in Wisconsin and then in Oregon. Casper's dream was to operate his own dairy farm which together with his wife Mathilda did for 40 plus years. Casper's greatest strength demonstrated to his family was his strong work ethic and the ability to achieve goals with continued grit, resiliency, and sacrifice. In his seldom "free time" Casper enjoyed skiing with his family. When Casper was 86 years old, he traveled with ten family members to Switzerland. A family reunion was celebrated in the beautiful Swiss Alps with lots of ese consumed! This moment in time is continually cherished by his amily. In his later years Casper enjoyed yodeling with fellow Swiss friends.
Casper is survived by his wife Mathilda; brothers Fritz and Werner; children Heidi, Bonnie, Roy, Linda, Anita, Casper Jr. and Steve along with 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Attrell's Newberg Funeral Chapel on January 14th at 11am.
