Obituary
George (Bud) Franklin Strawn, age 82, passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2017. George was born in Hubbard on January 30, 1935 and proudly lived in Oregon his entire life. He graduated from Dayton High School and went to work for the State of Oregon, where he retired after 39 years of service. During his years working for Oregon Department of Transportation he lived in Hermiston, Baker, La Grande, and
Salem where he retired. He then moved to St. Paul and lived there until relocating to Woodburn for the last year of his life. Bud was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, berry picking, and spending time with both his children and grandchildren. Bud had many talents including lapidary skills, fly tying, and woodworking. He served in the US Army, was an active member of the St. Paul Rodeo Association, and the Elks Club in Keizer.
George is survived by his sister Betty Jo Trunk, his children, George M. (Julie), Patrick L., and Mary Kay Phillips (Mike);
6 grandchildren, Sarah, Jessica, Melissa, Nestor, Keenan, and Amelia.
Mass will be held on Tuesday, May 9th at 10am at St. Paul Catholic Church. Memorial donations may be made to the St.
