Rita Mae Duncan, 72 went to be with the Lord on July 17, 2017. Rita was born in Seattle, WA on September 14, 1944 to Otto and Martha Duncan. She is survived by her sister, Maurine, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Rita began her career with Pacific Northwest Bell Telephone Company while still in high school, taking a four-year leave to serve her country in the U.S. Air Force. She retired from the telephone company in 1990. Rita was a volunteer with Special Olympics, Healing the Children and the Red Cross. Rita moved to Las Cruces in 2007. Join Rita's friends at a celebration of her life on August 19, at 4:00pm at the Boulders on the Green Clubhouse in Sonoma Ranch. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to La Casa Women's Shelter, S.N.A.P. of Las Cruces, or Friends of the New Mexico Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum, Inc.
