Linda Arlene Moreno, 62, a resident of the Gaston community passed away on Tuesday morning, February 2, 2016 at her home.

Linda was born on October 8, 1953 in San Francisco, CA. She was one of five children born to Lawrence and Peggy (Dill) Hanson. She was raised in Clear Lake CA. and attended Clear Lake High School graduating with the Class of 1961.

Linda met her future husband, Allan “Al” Moreno, while working at the phone company. They soon began dating and they were married on February 13, 1980 in Hillsboro and consecrated their marriage at Visitation Catholic Church in 1987. They made their home in the Hillsboro area until 1981 when they moved to Forest Grove and then settled to their farm in Gaston in 1991.

She was a devoted and loving mother to her two children; Warren and Amanda. She also worked outside the home at GTE, now Verizon for over 30 years as a service tech. She retired in 2007.

She enjoyed quilting, sewing and fair weather fishing. She was also an avid sports fan rooting for the Packers, Blazers and any of her children’s sporting events. She also loved dancing and is an Elvis Presley fan.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her loving husband, Al, two children and a daughter-in-law; Warren and Amy Moreno of Forest Grove, Amanda Moreno of Phoenix, AZ, two grandchildren; Ayden and Presley, her mother-in-law; Doris Moreno of Billings, MT, four siblings and their spouses; Chris Hanson of Scio, OR, Steve and Patty Hanson of San Francisco, CA, Greg and Cheryl Hanson of Reno, NV, Janet Hanson of AZ, four in-laws and their spouses; Ed and Cindy Moreno of Cornelius, Margaret and Bill Balson of Apple Valley, MN, Mimi and Tim Gallagher of Corvallis, Susan Moreno of Billings, MT, four nephews; Alex, Brett, Kelly and Kyle and a niece; Anita
