Brandon EriK Sohler
Obituary
Brandon Erik Sohler, 36, a resident of the Hillsboro community, passed away on July 20, 2018 at Tuality Community Hospital.
Brandon was born on August 16, 1981 in Portland, OR. He was one of two children adopted by Greg and Sue (Claeys) Sohler. He was raised in Hillsboro and attended Eastwood Elementary, Poynter Middle school, and Century High School, graduating with the Class of 2000.
Brandon had worked in the food service industry most of his life. He moved to Seattle after a year of college and worked in a pizzeria, a crepe restaurant, and ended up working at Pies and Pints in Seattle, where he met Maggie's mother, Laura. In 2006 he moved to Eugene, where he attended Lane Community College before his daughter Maggie was born in 2007. Later in 2008 he moved back to Hillsboro and started working for McMenamins at Imbrie Hall and then on to Cedar Hills. Brandon most recently worked for Compass Group at Intel at the Ronler Acres Campus RA3. There he was known as the "Piza Dood" where Intel workers traveled from other campuses just to get his pizza with the "silly toppings".
He enjoyed skateboarding, snow boarding, paintball, shooting skeet in the field at the back of the barn at the farm, and playing video games with his daughter. AND cooking. He had a creative mind and enjoyed making new recipes for his pizzas. He was an avid Green Bay Packer fan, and had even gone to a game with his dad for his 33rd birthday at Lambeau Field to watch a game (they won). He enjoyed traveling abroad, vacationing at Black Butte and visiting with friends and relatives. Brandon had a laid back, mischievous personality. He had only one speed - slow and steady. Brandon was always able to make people laugh until the very end.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, and his birth father, David Brosterhous.
He is survived by his daughter, Maggie Yost-Sohler, his parents Greg and Sue Sohler of Hillsboro, a sister Ashley Sohler of Hillsboro, his biological mother, Sandra Shattuck, two half siblings Fisher and Fiona Shattuck, Maggie's mother Laura Yost, and his girlfriend of three years, Kerrie Franey. And many Aunts,
