Lucille Rush Case
October 4, 1929 to May 27, 2016
St. Paul resident Lucille Theresa Case died peacefully at home on May 27, 2016.
Born Lucille Theresa Rush to Lena Seifer Rush and George Theodore Rush in St. Louis, Oregon on October 4, 1929, she was the third of four children. Her older sister Dorothy Nolan survives her. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother Leroy (Bud)
Rush and sister Roseanne Cauley.
After graduating from Gervais High School, Lucille worked briefly for the State of Oregon.
She married Ralph Case of St. Paul on September 17, 1949 and became a farm wife and mother to nine children. Ralph (Casey) died in 2008.
Lucille is survived by all nine of her children: Cathy Lavin (Morgan) of Welches, Michael Case (Sarah) of St. Paul, Dee Miles of St. Paul, Joyce McGee (Gary) of Colorado Springs, Teena McKee (Marshall Thompson) of Keizer, Mary Jo Smith (Maurice) of St. Paul, Tracie Murphy (Michael) of St. Paul, Nanette Ball (Bob) of Camas and Karen Case (Jeff Joki) of Beavercreek.
She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren: Holly Crisman, Chad McGee, Casey Pauls, Andrew Lavin, Angie Craig, Jordan Murphy, Julie Lange, Garrett Case, Brett Ball, Cole Case and Ryan Ball. Lucille also leaves 11 great grandchildren.
Lucille was a farm girl through and through and loved gardening her entire life. She took advantage of her love of flowers and plants when she worked briefly at Spada Farms, She inherited her love of dogs from her father and was "Mom" and "Grandma" to numerous furry kids and granddogs. She also thoroughly enjoyed bird watching from her living room window.
Memorial Contributions can be made to the St. Paul Booster Club.
Rosary and Memorial Service will be at St. Paul Catholic Church on June 1 with the Rosary being said at 10:00 am followed by the Memorial Service at 11:00 am,
