Obituary
SALEM - Veronica, "Vron", was born in Salem and moved with her parents to North Bend, Oak Grove, and Oregon City where she graduated from Oregon City High School and where she enthusiastically participated as head football cheerleader and also played on the softball team. She attended Southern Oregon College and transferred to Portland State for her Senior year majoring in Sociology.
Veronica lived her adult life in the Portland and Camas, Washington area before moving back to Salem for the last 5 years. She was the third of four children and is survived by her boyfriend Charles, parents Juan and Dolorez, sisters Sara Reynolds and Margaret LeBlanc, and brother Juan along with 7 nieces and nephews.
Veronica was preceded in death by her beloved cats, Mercedes, Nerd, and Mama Cat. A devoted vegetarian, she cared deeply about all animals. She cared about her fellow human beings, Mother Earth and the Dallas Cowboys. Veronica had a beautiful voice and could belt out a mean Pat Benatar and Janis Joplin on the karaoke scene. With her beautiful smile and infectious laughter she endeared herself to all who met her.
A family memorial service will be held at her parents' home on Saturday, March 9.
