June was born on June 8, 1965 in Hillsboro, OR. She was the youngest of nine children born to Wilfred "Fritz" and Blanche Peters. She grew up on the family farm in Verboort and attended Visitation Catholic Grade School and then Forest Grove High School where she graduated in 1983. She later attended Oregon State University and received her Bachelor's in Human Development in 1987. She married Paul H. Coussens on October 3, 1987 in Verboort, OR. Following their marriage, they made their home in Banks where they have resided since. June was a homemaker and bookkeeper and raised her two children, Kasey and Jeffrey, with her husband. She enjoyed exploring the world around her and experimenting with different forms of art. She was interested in painting, cross-stitching, decorating photography, and pottery. She is preceded in death by her mother, Blanche. Survivors include her husband of 19 years, Paul, her two children Kasey and Jeffrey, her father "Fritz" of Verboort, OR., her eight siblings and their spouses: Greg and Jeannie Peters of Forest Grove, OR., Brenda and John Braxmeyer of Forest Grove, OR., Bruce and Josie Peters of Albany, OR., Vivian and Mike McCarthy of Forest Grove, OR., Roxanne and Brian Coussens of Banks, OR., Patrick and Melanie Peters of Forest Grove, OR., Carol and Joe Chagnon of Albany, OR., Brad and Debbie Peters of Seattle, WA., and her thirty-six nieces and nephews.
