Michael Gilbert Giesbers, 64, a resident of the Forest Grove community, died Thursday morning, April 25, 2019 at Tuality Community Hospital in Hillsboro.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, April 29, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at the Visitation Catholic Church, 4285 NW Visitation Rd, Forest Grove, OR 97116, with Fr. Michael Vuky, celebrant. Burial Rites will follow after the celebration at the Visitation Cemetery, in Forest Grove.

MICHAEL GILBERT GIESBERS was born April 21, 1955 in Hillsboro, Oregon, the son of Gilbert Joseph Giesbers and Nadine Lucy (Godon) Giesbers. He was raised and received his education in the Verboort community, having been a graduate of the Banks High School Class of 1973.

Michael worked as a Diesel Mechanic in the automotive industry for more than 25 years.

Among his special interests, he enjoyed golfing, hunting, 4 wheeling, tinkering, spending time outdoors, going to the beach, and flying kites.

Survivors include his parents, Gilbert and Nadine Giesbers, of Verboort, Oregon; his children and their spouses, Robert and Tonya Giesbers, of Dayton, Oregon; Darick and Liz Giesbers, of Honolulu, Hawaii; Sarah May and Zach Lupro, of McMinnville, Oregon; is sisters and brothers-in-law, Cheryl and Rick Jacobson, of Newberg, Oregon; Leah and Dave Kindle, Of Gaston, Oregon; Cara and Jeff Pultz, of Banks, Oregon; his brothers, Karl Giesbers, of Verboort, Oregon, and Brent Giesbers, of Forest Grove, Oregon.

Also surviving are his 4 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

The family suggests that remembrances may be contributions to the Visitation Catholic, 4285 NW Visitation Road, Forest Grove, OR 97116, in his memory.
