Obituary
A Rosary and Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday morning for Julia A. "Judy” Peschka, 80, Hillsboro.
Mrs. Peschka died Aug. 13, 1990, at Tuality Community Hospital of complications of pneumonia.
Friday's services will be at 10 a.m. at Visitation Roman Catholic Church in Verboort, with the Revs. David Zegar of St. Alexander's Roman Catholic Church in Cornelius and James Harris and Frank Walsh of Visitation Church as concelebrants. * **
Burial will be in Visitation Cemetery, Verboort.
Mrs. Peschka was born Dec. 10, 1909, in Roy, one of 13 children of the
farming family of Antone and Mary | Smith Vandehey.
She married Edmund Peschka April 4, 1932, in Roy and they had observed their 58th wedding anniversary last spring.
Mrs. Peschka lived in Washington County her entire life.
She enjoyed growing flowers, especially pansies and indoor plants.
She was a member of St. Alexander's Catholic Church in Cornelius and was a former member of St. Mathew's Roman Catholic Church in Hillsboro.
Survivors include her husband, Edmund Peschka, Hillsboro; three sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Barbara Peschka, Forest Grove, Robert and Shirley Peschka, Aloha, and Thomas and Janet Peschka, Milwaukie; and a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Frank Vanoudenhaegen, Hillsboro.
Also surviving are 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Martin Vandehey and Lawrence Vandehey, both of Roy; two sisters, Katie Hermens, Yamhill, and Sister Mary Eusebia, St. Mary's Convent, Beaverton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the St. Alexander's Church building fund in Cornelius.
