Elaine Rose VanDeWettering, 90, a longtime resident of the Verboort community passed away on December 20, 2015.
Elaine was born on March 24, 1925 in cherry Grove, OR She was one of eight children born to Henry and Catherine (Kempen) VanDeWettering. She attended grade school at Dilley Elementary and graduated from Forest Grove High School with the Class of 1943.
Elaine worked as a clerk for the Washington County Taxation Dept for over 30 years retiring in 1991.
She lived with her brother Clarence on the family farm in Verboort. She was a devoted to her community and attended Mass at the Visitation Catholic Church. She enjoyed puzzles and reading in her spare time.
She is preceded in death by her parents and five siblings; Cyril, Wayne, Vernon, Clarence and Loretta.
She is survived by two siblings and a sister-in-law; Merle and Loraine VanDeWettering of Dallas, OR, Germaine "Geri" Dreiling of Hillsboro, OR and many nieces and nephews
