Obituary

Rosalie Weathers was born in Portland, Oregon to Raymond and Catherine Kerr, the youngest of their three children. While she was in grade school the family moved to Salem, where she attended Sacred Heart Academy. After graduating high school, she advanced her studies at Marylhurst College.

Rosalie married her lifelong love, Donald C. Weathers on July 19, 1958. Together they had 6 children: Douglas (Audrey), Denise (Curtis), Anthony (Susan), Terrance (Chris) Christopher (Karen), Kevin (Lexie), as well as 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Rosalie loved the family Hop farm, and as the kids got older she took over administrative and payroll duties while still finding the time to start and take over other businesses along the way, including Fancy Fibers and, from her father, Kerr Supply Co.

Rosalie loved horses and was the leader of the Keizerettes & Kings 4H Club for many years. Countless blue ribbons were won under her tutelage and encouragement. Rosalie and Don spent many a wedding anniversary at the Fairgrounds attending horse shows.

Rosalie and Don were members of several clubs throughout their lives, from The Terrace Club in the 60s to International Flying Farmers. Rosalie was also a member of the

"Chicken Little Club"—the association of wives who flew with their husbands. As part of her devout Catholic faith, she participated in church choirs, the altar society, and many other affinity groups. Don and Rosalie loved to travel when they could, including trips to New Zealand, Australia, China, and Mexico. She also made a trip to Russia with her sister Charlene.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, her brother Rogert and her sister Charlenet (Carlt). Other close family mourning her loss are Roger's wife Lynne Kerr, and in-laws Bud Herberger (Patt) and Emily Weathers (Harley†).

Towards the end of her life, Rosalie battled Alzheimer's, with Don by her side every step of the way. Although Dementia stole her mind and Covid took her body, her heart will always be with us.

Services for Rosalie will be held at Saint Edwards Catholic Church in Keizer, OR on Friday

February 11th, 2022. Recitation of the rosary will begin at 1:00 pm followed by mass of Christian burial at 1:30 pm.

Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Rosalie Weathers.
