GRACIE CROP, 84, a longtime resident of Forest Grove died Tuesday evening November 3rd at the Marysville Nursing Home following an extended illness. She was born on October 26, 1897 in Forest Grove, the daughter of the late Emil and Johanna Smith Crop. She was raised and received her education in the Forest Grove area in addition to attending the Purdin School in Thatcher. She had been a resident of Forest Grove until her failing health necessitated her moving to the Marysville Hursing Home in 1963. Survivors include two brothers; V.E. (Bob) Crop of Banks, Oregon, and Alvin Crop of Forest Grove, Oregon, five sisters; Mrs. William (Minnie) Bernards, McMinnville, Oregon, Mrs. Francis (Lena) Herb, Forest Grove, Oregon, Sister Mary Carmel, SSMO, Beaverton, Oregon, Mrs. Amos (Marjorie) La Haie, Hillsboro, Oregon and Mrs. Everett (Eileen) Vandehey of Forest Grove, Oregon. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four sisters and one brother: Stella Crop, Barbara Crop, Hilda Bernards, Lottie Van Ackere and John (Jack) Crop.
