Larry Anthony Meeuwsen, 79, a resident of the Forest Grove community passed away on October 30, 2019 at the Providence St Vincent Medical Center in Portland
Larry was born on March 18, 1940 in Forest grove, OR He was the youngest of six children born to Walter and Theresa (Herb) Meeuwsen. He was raised in Forest Grove and attended Forest Grove High School graduating with the Class of 1958. Larry then attended Junior College in Klamath Falls, OR
He met his future wife, Susan Duyck, while at a dance in Roy. They soon began dating and following a two year courtship they married on August 1, 1964 in Forest Grove.  They had two children; Jill and BJ. They made their home in Forest Grove.
Larry had worked in the auto repair business all of his life as a painter. He had worked with George Knight  in Cornelius,  Doherty Ford in forest Grove, Forest grove Body Shop and Kramers. Once he retired he also worked as a repairman for VanDyke Appliances in Forest Grove.
He enjoyed the outdoors fishing, hunting and camping. He also enjoyed antique guns, collecting brass casings and shooting. He was an excellent BBQ cook, like to go golfing and visit his daughter in California. Susan and Larry also like to go dancing and travel.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Susan, his parents and three siblings; Janette Beachler, Irvin Meeuwsen and Eileen Vanderzanden
He is survived by his two children BJ Meeuwsen of Forest Grove, Jill Meeuwsen of Grass Valley CA, two siblings; Bearnice Kubitz and Carl Meeuwsen and a granddaughter; Molli Meeuwsen.
