She was born in Fredericksburg, Virginia July 2, 1938 to Horace Payson Porter and Madeline Musante Porter. She grew up in Fredericksburg, Virginia. When reaching Oregon Richard went to work for a short time on his uncle’s dairy farm. He then went to work at Tektronix. Theresa loved retirement. She and her husband went on several cruises and a few road trips. They also went to Europe a couple of times. She also got involved with a love for roses and had about 50 different varieties. Theresa also loved to play pinochle. She belonged to a neighborhood pinochle card club.
